I am so EXCITED!! After years of wanting to get back on schedule with the IHSW SAL, I finally had an opportunity to hermit and stitch this last weekend. I got a good amount done. I was hindered to a small degree because I have had migraines all weekend, but I still feel like it was a very successful weekend!
The first project I worked on was the Precious Moments Alphabet Afghan.
Here's what it looked like on Friday.
This is the N is for Nurse Block. Here is what N looked like at the end of the day yesterday.
I am so excited that she is almost finished. I haven't gotten as far as I wanted to this month. Since the kids take such a long time, I have decided to alternate between blocks with animals and those with kids. Up until now, I have been doing the blocks in order. We will see next month if that helps me achieve more progress or not.
I have also started The Mourning of Icarus which is a Heaven and Earth Designs. I am trying to participate in Challenge 2, but I don't know if I will be able to finish one page of this pattern by June 15.
Here's what it looked like on Friday.
As you can see, I hadn't started yet. This is how far I have gotten by yesterday.
It's really hard to see because the first floss I have decided to start with winter white. This is the first time I have worked on 25ct Linen. I have decided to do 2 over 1. I am liking the coverage thus far.
So over all a pretty successful Hermit and Stitch here. If you would like to join the IHSW SAL, there is usually a sign up each month on this blog (click here). If you would be interested in seeing more WIP pics of my project please like my Facebook page facebook.com/firecrakrprojects.
I have a Youtube channel, and this week I will be adding a video about the Crochet and other Yarnwork projects I am currently working on and a second Flosstube video. You can watch and subscribe to my channel here.
For next month, I have would like to finish the Winter White for all of the first page of the Mourning of Icarrus. I would love to finish up N plus two more letters.
Happy Stitching!
Laura Nicole
